Mr. Baburam Prasad Yadav has completed Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Management, University of life science, Norway (2000- 2002) with the dissertation: “Asian Wild Elephant(Elephas maximus)- People Interface in East Nepal“. Also his second master’s degree (2014-2015) has completed in “Value Education and Spirituality” from Annamalai University Distance Education Centre, Tamilnadu, India. His PhD with the title “Ecology and Human and Asian Wild Elephant Conflict in Central Nepal” is with-held from Institute of Forestry Central Campus Pokhara, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Required Publications for PhD has completed. His research experience and academic background is diversely rich regarding management of natural resources (flora and fauna), particularly, focused on Asian Wild Elephant and other wildlife and its habitat.
Employment and work experiences
He has worked being on different posts and with responsibilities on conservation during his carrier. He worked as a biodiversity ranger, conservation officer, and chief conservation officer between Dec 1981 and June 2014 with the Nepal government organizations- Dhorpatan hunting reserve, Para National Park (Bara), Shey-Phoksundo National Park (Dolpa), Khaptad park (Bajura) and Suklaphanta National Park (Kanchanpur). Moreover, he has worked in the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC), Kathmandu, Nepal (about 8 years) , on posts: Conservation Education officer, Planning officer, Management officer, Planning officer with responsibility of annual budget planning, conservation education activities conducted. Besides these organization he also worked ( 4 years) in Makalu Barun National Parks and Conservation Area Project collaborated with the Mountain Institute (TMI) and in Bardia Buffer zone Development Project collaborated with Bardia National Park and Care-Nepal as a forest and biodiversity expert. He has worked as consultant in different organizations and development projects in Nepal concerning environmental issues and involved in report writing activities.
Publication, presentation and membership
Yadav has published scholarly books and articles in national and international journals. He has written two books named “Conservation and Management of biodiversity in protected areas of Nepal (2019) and “Managing biodiversity in protected areas of Nepal” (2009) with pages 312 and 108 respectively. And one peer reviewed international journal article named “Habitat utilization by Asiatic wild Elephant (Elephas maximus) in Parsa wildlife reserve (2013) has published. Along the national scientific paper named “Scientific Forest Management is counterproductive to the natural forests of mountainous country like Nepal” (2020), and Impact of Construction of Nijgadh International Airport on human, wildlife and flora in Bara and Rautahat districts (2020). Thirteen others scientific papers have published on the concerned field and conservation independently and jointly. Beside scholarly publication has presented papers in national and international seminars and conference. He has involved in different organizations and got membership of regional, national and international associations concerning environmental protection, wildlife and biodiversity protection. He has visited 14 different countries as student, scholar, and trainee during his profession.
Research Director- Roshan Kumar Thakur

Completing with Masters in Zoology with ecology as specialization subject, Roshan have substantial background in elephant research and conservation in Nepal. MaxEnt modeling, habitat sampling, questionnaire survey was used in his Master’s Thesis “Habitat suitability, migratory trails and human elephant interface of Asian elephant in Central Nepal”. For the last few years, he has been working on project funded by Rufford Small Grants UK. He also completed an internship program at the pioneer organization of elephant conservation “SAVE THE ELEPHANTS” in Kenya. He got familiar with the international standard research conducted at SAVE THE ELEPHANT field offices. The Internship sharpened his skills of research and throttled his esteem to work for elephant in my country. In recent years, he has applied new research ideas into action and try to help conserve the elephant population in Nepal.
Conservation Director- Manoj Kumar Yadav

Manoj has been a active hand since the starting of this organization. He brings his M. Sc. degree knowledge to enrich the team and has worked on various project of NBrCc since its establishment. He oversees all the conservation works of NBrCc.
Research Assistant- Axelle Guer

Graduated from a biology bachelor, Axelle has worked 3 years as a research assistant before getting involved as a volunteer in different NGO. The two main projects on which she worked were related with water issues and park people conflict in Chitwan National Park. She has a strong interest in biodiversity, evolution and parasitology. Passionate about nature and with a strong motivation to get involved in conservation projects, Axelle joined the association to help us on the protection of the Elephants. Really implicated in helping to the development of the communities which are suffering from wildlife conflicts, she is determined to work on Elephant-Human conflicts. Her technical laboratory knowledge combined with her work field could be really helpful and bring more creativity on some projects. She also developed skills for video making, which is a valuable asset for the upcoming projects in NBRCC. She handles all issues with online works and IT issues.
Account officer- Shyam Yadav
Shyam did complete his Bachelor in Business Studies degree from Ram Swarup Ram Sagar Multiple Campus, Janakpur in 2019 and has since then working for this organization. He takes care of all the financial matter and accounts. He is a nature-lover and outdoor enthusiast.
